Butlers Wharf

Project Overview

This project involved integrating a CG bookshop into a live-action plate filmed at Butlers Wharf, London. The goal was to seamlessly blend a digitally created environment element into the existing footage while preserving the realism, lighting, and perspective of the original scene.

The final result focuses on believable spatial integration, accurate camera movement, and clean compositing, ensuring the CG elements sit naturally within the live-action environment.

My Contribution

I was responsible for the full VFX workflow on this shot, including camera tracking to accurately match the live-action movement. I modelled and textured the CG bookshop, ensuring it aligned correctly with the real-world architecture and perspective of the scene.

I handled the CG integration and compositing, matching lighting, colour, and depth so the digital elements blended seamlessly with the plate. Additional cleanup work was performed to remove unwanted elements and refine the final image for a clean, polished result.
